Take the Novel Destinations Summer Reading Challenge & Win a Trip to American Girl Place!
Summer is a season for students to become better readers... or forget what they learned during the school year. Research confirms that students who don't read four or more age-appropriate books over the summer typically score lower or stagnate on reading comprehension tests when they return to school.
Instead of loosing ground over the summer, take the Challenge! This year's Summer Challenge unites girls to read in an attempt to set a new world record for summer reading. Young ladies sign up, choose books they want to read from our reading list, log their reading minutes, then join us for a fun online discussion of the book! The 10 girls who log the most minutes and participate in the virtual book club meetings will be featured in the 2010 edition of the Girls Rule! Book of World Records!
Five (5) local participants will be invited to attend an elegant tea and book discussion at American Girl Place located in Water Tower Place in the heart of Chicago's famous Magnificent Mile!
